There is air layer between surface material and back sticking material to wall when installing sound absorption construction. The layouts of surface material or back sticking material affect not only the thickness of air layer but the quantity of air layer. In addition, the differences between the installing types and material shape of surface material or back sticking material affect the shape of air layer. Generally, surface material and back sticking material are parallel. In this research, the variation of air layer was studied that how multi air layers influence sound absorption coefficients. Except for the thickness of air layer, the quantity of air layer not considered in air layer absorption attributes presently. In the research, the multi air layer was studied collecting common sound-absorbing construction. The setting of fiberglass stacking was the main variables of air layer; slab construction and perforated board was the variable of surface material sound absorption characteristics. Experimental result showed: (1) Sound absorption characteristics of close back sticking material and bonding surface material were better than which attach closely to wall at high and middle frequency noise.
