This research aims to look over whether these textbooks offer students’ sufficient knowledge in conformity with the globalization tide. It is hoped that one can offer and edit the teaching material or reference that the teacher is engaged in global education teaching in the future. This research finds that the textbooks of civics and society in high school include four major classifications – “global systems”, “global issues”'', “the '' cross-cultural understanding”, and ” global histories.” Among them, “ global systems “ appear most and “global histories “ appear the least. Moreover, the “global economy system “ is the highest proportion in the sub-classification , and the “ world history “ is the least. In addition, the global view knowledge distributes unequally in the three editions; they all lack the discussion with the issues of the “population “, “peace and security “, “medical treatment health “, “grain “, and “ universal geography .“ Generally speaking, the global view knowledge accounts for 35% of the content of civics and society in the high school textbook. Furthermore, the global view examples that three editions cite in the textbooks are unbalanced, not diversified enough for the high school students. 袁鶴齡 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 140 zh-TW
