Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 國際政治研究所 === 99 === From the perspective of “system theory”, this study analyzes the Obama administration''s policy toward China from 2009 to 2011 and explores the policy impacts through the examination of the U.S. domestic and international factors. After Obama came to power there was a period of hope to enhance the China-U.S. relations, but relations between the two continue to deteriorate till 2011. Although both the United States and China work hard to cooperate with each other, but it turns out to be not so well on an objective situation. Due to various levels of competition and cognitive differences between these two countries, the cooperation of both sides suffers limitations. With China’s rise, the perceptions of the U.S. and China would dramatically change, thereby affecting their policy towards each other. In the 21st century, the U.S.-China relations may fluctuate and affect the global development.
