It is often that the battery of the sensor node can’t be replaced or recharged because of the uncertainty of the environment. Therefore, there are some designs to extend the operational lifetime of the sensor node. In this paper, in order to quantize most of the factors that affect the system, we adopt Queueing theory and the state transition graph of Birth-Death Process to build a systematic model to analyze the probability of all states for the sensor node. Meanwhile, we considered the sleep state to reduce energy consumption of the system, and we used finite queue to make the model more realistic. Then we derived the formula of the total energy consumption of the system, which is controlled by five parameters such as input rate, service rate, collision probability, queue size, and queue threshold. We changed the parameters one at a time to show the effects of state probability. Finally, we derived optimal values of queue threshold N corresponding to each different data input rate. And these optimal values of N make the system designer have a lower power consumption and longer lifetime for the battery. 黃德成 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 39 zh-TW
