Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 中國文學系所 === 99 === Taoism is one of the most important schools in the history of Chinese philosophy. Tao Te Ching is Taoism’s most critical book of ideology in Pre-Qin Dynasty. Based on the natural philosophy, Lao-tzu built up higher level and unworldly wisdom of dealing with the world by using multiple ways of thinking. There are quite a few examples of opposing concept in Tao Te Ching. Look at the secret of positive existing of things from negative aspect. In this way, he shows up the general principles that guide operation of the world. Lao-tzu is good at observing social symptoms and derivational problems. He suggests strategies to solve these problems with the opposing thoughts. He believes that the opposing concepts are more influential than the regular thought in the development of a given event. The study discusses five aspects of Tao Te Ching: the Universe, the phenomenology, moral theory, theory of knowledge and idealism. The paper focuses on the development of the interdependence of both sides of the given events, and how the inter-transformation can explain the wisdom of life, which shows how the stronger fail and the weaker survive. Finally, it analyzes how the concept of both non-existent and being existing can be used to study the governing wisdom of a monarch. Furthermore, the choices of interpersonal networking and their effects are reviewed with Lao-tzu’s concepts of relativism. Lao-tzu’s ultimate goal was to build up the philosophy of life based on principles of nature. Thus, with the concepts of relativism, Lao-tzu tried to define the negative development of interpersonal social relationship with brighter views. He offered values for judgments, which help people’s moral development.
