And, the results are almost the same as the measured values through the digitized dynamometer. The use of the digitized dynamometer measured the global characteristics of the single-phase capacitor type induction motors is time-consuming. So, the global characteristic curve via the mathematical model obtained from the fix point design’s impedance can be used to replace the traditional digitized dynamometer. The single-phase capacitor type induction motors have been widely utilized in industry. There are three kinds of capacitor type induction motors: a capacitor-start motor, a permanent-split capacitor motor, and two-value capacitor motor. The objective of this thesis is to investigate these steady-state fix point characteristics including the running and starting characteristics for the various single-phase capacitor type induction motors. Six single-phase capacitor type induction motors including the 1/2 horse power with 2-pole and 4-pole are used to demonstrate the global characteristic difference between the fix point design and measured values. And, the relationship between these two methods is also discussed. To simplify the first version of the simulation program that is combining the C# (C sharp) and Excel and increasing the accuracy, the LabView software is used to combine the fix point calculation and comprehensive simulation program in this thesis. The characteristic errors between the simulation results and measured values are all less than 5%. It shows that the design formula proposed in this thesis is outstanding to the impedance parameters calculation and as a reference for motor manufacturers.
