The education purpose and curriculums set by every college are also varied. However, in terms of required courses, the curriculums are mainly designed to cultivate students’ four fundamental skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, so it is not easy to find out the difference of every college. As for optional subjects, because of their variety, students’ options are freer and more diversified. This thesis categorizes optional subjects of colleges, combining it with education purpose to study and especially targets on students’ mindset of optional subjects to execute questionnaire survey. Then this thesis analyzes the survey and studies the result, bringing up opinions and propositions.
