environment for the disabled, according to these research, disabled people
are not willing to travel due to the lack of barrier-free environment.
Nevertheless, the disabled traveler -Kijima Hideto embraces the idea of that as long as you intend to travel, there must be a way out. Travel depends on mental barriers rather than physical barriers. Although barrier-free environment would affect disabled people to participate in travel, their psychological traits would substantially refrain themselves from taking part in travel due to the evaluation of self-efficacy. The related issues for disabled travel are still in the exploratory stage in Taiwan. While the disabled people are conducting their travel, their faith on the accomplishment of travel activities by themselves has turned into a question in this study. The questionnaire of this research is to collect 116 of those who with physical disabilities, so as to understand disabled people have the capabilities to participate in travel activities and the importance of self-efficacy performance level. Through factor analysis, there are four main dimensions required while disabled people engage in travel activities
are the ability of travel capability, interacting in travel, travel activity and travel knowledge. The results show that the ability of travel activity and interacting in travel are the most important factors in disabled people instead of travel capability. Besides, the performance of self-efficacy is relatively better in travel capability for those who have a friend accompany with. It reveals that travel capability do not obstruct physical disabilities to travel. However, the ability of adapting to travel activity and the knowledge of travel need to be strengthened. The relevant social welfare agencies and travel agencies can use this as a reference for future strategies.
