Description
Summary:碩士 === 康寧大學 === 資訊傳播研究所 === 99 === Based on the main idea of Grade 1-9 Curriculum, all of the fields in schools are supposed to adopt technologies as teaching aids to expand learning and help students develop the ability of solving problems. Recently, the combination of interactive whiteboard (IWB) and teaching makes more interaction during the instruction. The groundbreaking presentation in the classroom offers the learners different learning environment and brings about the new changes on education as well. The purposes of this study were to investigate the effects of students’ learning attitude, achievement, and the opinions after the mathematical teaching with interactive whiteboard (IWB). The findings of the study for the development of instructions with IWB in junior high schools were proposed. This study adopted the quasi-experimental design and recruited 46 eighth graders from 2 classes in a junior high school at a remote district in Tainan City. One class (23 students) was chosen as the experimental group and received the instruction with IWB, and the other class (23 students) was chosen as the control group, receiving the traditional didactic instruction. The total program lasted for six weeks, with two times teaching per week. The content of the course was Quadratic equation with one unknown in mathematical field in Grade 1-9 Curriculum. The major findings in this study were summarized as follows: 1. There was no significant difference in learning achievement between the experimental group and the control group. 2. There was no significant difference in learning attitude between the experimental group and the control group. 3. The students showed positive responses toward the IWB instruction. Meanwhile, the survey from the experimental group indicated that some problems such as bad visibility and hardware malfunction occurred in the instruction with IWB. Therefore, to carry out the overall instruction with IWB, the technological problems need to be overcome.
