In this work, the survey method is adopted. A sample of 224 valid subjects were selected from public elementary school third- to sixth-grade students in Kou-Hu Township in Yunlin County .The study used the questionnaires of home environment for statistics. The collected data were analyzed by using t-tests, a single-factor ANOVA, and Pearson’s product moment correlations. The major conclusions of this research are summarized as follows: 1. New immigrant's children have low satisfaction for the physics environment such as computer apparatus, calculator and dictionary at home. 2. New immigrant's children feel less listening from their families. It is found that mother is considered to be the first one who always listens to them, the second is their brothers and sisters, and the third is father. 3. New immigrant's children feel less encouragement from their families. It is noted that mother is considered to be the first one who always encourages them, and the second is father. 4. The students from lower-income family are not satisfied with their physical environment, such as calculator and dictionary; furthermore, they also dissatisfy with their study environment. 5. The grandparent-raised students are aware of that their families help them less to check their homework. 6. In this study, girls perform well then boys in the field of Art and Humanity. 7. In this study, boy’s feeling of their family physical environment has the notable positive correlation with their social achievement. In addition, their feeling of family psychological environment also has the notable positive correlation with their physical education achievement. As a consequence, this research suggests that new immigrants’ family should listen to their children more and give them encouragement at the appropriate moment. The lower-income family should set up the better family physical environment within the limited resource as well.
