Double layer windows have been widely used on construction in the world. Recently, it also began to be used in Taiwan. This study installs mechanism of heat isolation into air layer of double windows to reduce heat transmission to room and to compare with natural daylight. Then further analyze the efficiency of heat loading and energy conservation. This research installs the test specimens on the west direction of lab in south area of Taiwan. Following the previous study to choose the best type, we change setting position, glass materials and isolated materials by experiments. Then analyze the comprehensive effects of heat isolation and natural daylight. There are some conclusions as the follows, 1. For the optimum type, it was better installed the south direction than the west direction, but it still has effects for heat isolation in west direction. 2. Three kinds of glasses have about 1.0% to achieve the standard of daylight rates. According to comprehensive effects, reflected window is the best types for west direction. During afternoon, the effects are more obvious. 3. The result shows that install mechanism of heat isolation into air layer of double windows could reduce indoor glass surface temperature. Type of roller curtain and fan with water curtain has the best effect, it reduced about 5.77 ℃ in clear glass, 6.61 ℃ in reflected glass and 6.22 ℃ in reflected glass. During afternoon, the effects are more excellent. 4. For comprehensive effects, Clear glass installs four mechanisms of heat isolation have superior performances of heat isolation and natural daylight. Type of roller curtain and fan with water curtain has the best effect that could reduce temperature about 5.77 ℃, its daylight rate is about 0.74%. Type of blind has the second effect that could reduce temperature about 4.72 ℃, its daylight rate is about 0.78%. 5. Propose the best optimum types, according to 0.7% by standard of daylight and 4℃ by heat reduction. For comprehensive effects, type of water curtain in reflected glass has better daylight and heat isolation that is recommended the best optimum type, type of fan with water curtain in reflected glass has recommended the second one, and type of fan with water curtain in glass has recommended the third one.
