That will be the mainstream of power system control in the smart grid of electrical distribution systems. In this paper, a three-layer MAS structure is proposed for feeder automation and DNP 3.0 protocol format, called DNP 3.0M, is expanded to fit the communication in MAS for DAS. XScale PXA270 embedded systems are introduced for the practical agents and DNP 3.0 packets, which implement fault detection, isolation and restoration in multi-agent decision, are captured by Wireshark protocol tool to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
