碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系 === 99 === This study aims to discuss about the factors that affect Taiwan enterprises to choose the investment entry modes into Viet Nam. The study develops six hypotheses according to the previous research literatures on international entry mode, conducts a test on a data of 67 Taiwanese enterprises in Viet Nam by the Binary Logistic Regression Model. The study found that country risk of Viet Nam (including government effectiveness and policy restrictions), government incentive policies, location of investment and Taiwan enterprises international experience impose significant impact on selection of entry mode. Taiwan investors tend to prefer the wholly owned enterprise (WOE) mode if Viet Nam government grants its incentive policies, convenient investment location and cost reduction. In terms of enterprise advantage dimension, enterprise international investment experience exhibits a positive influence on selection of entry mode. Additionally Taiwan enterprises prefer the equity joint ventures (EJVs) model if government efficiency is lower, more policy restrictions and large cultural difference. The results can be served as reference for foreign investors to consider investment in Viet Nam.
