Summary: | 碩士 === 崑山科技大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 99 === The class E resonant converter is currently the most.efficient among all the converter classes. Resonant converters have different resonant styles because of different combinations of the inductors and capacitors of which resonant tank be composed. Also, when the resonant converter switches its power, it can achieve zero-voltage switching (ZVS) or zero-current switching (ZCS) to reduce the switching losses and to improve the efficiency of the converter.
The improved single-switch class-E parallel loaded resonant converter proposed in this paper combines the inductance and capacitance in the resonance through to produce the needed resonant voltage and resonant current, and by way of adjusting the switching frequency of the power switch, the feature of soft-switching and control of voltage and current outputs can be achieved.Compared with the two-switch class-D resonant converter, the class-E resonant converter has the benefit of one less switch and thus has reduced switching losses and increased overall circuit efficiency. As a result, this type of converter benefits from its simple circuit structure, low production cost and high efficiency.
Finally, the simulation results are compared against the implementation results and it is confirmed that the improved single-switch class-E parallel loaded resonant converter proposed in this paper has the characteristics of zero-voltage switching and soft-switching, with the converter efficiency as high as 88% or more.
