Summary: | 碩士 === 高雄醫學大學 === 牙醫學研究所 === 99 === Background and Purpose:
The accurate length and width of maxillary sinus, presentence of maxillary sinus septum''s location and the possibility were measured through CT image and statistically analyzed.
Material and Method:
53 patients (22 males and 31 females) were included in this investigation, age ranging from 25 to 84 years (average 54.18 years). Patient was scanned with a bite fork embedded 10 Si3N4 balls of 3 mm diameter(LHB, Yung-xiong CO., LTD) by Picasso-trio(Korea, VATECH CO., LTD). Image was examed by the reformatted CT images EzImplant-CDViewer-Dental3D (version1.5, Korea, VATECH CO., LTD). The length and width of maxillary sinus(baseline: above alveolar ridge 25mm), presentence of maxillary sinus septum''s location and the possibility and the diameter of Si3N4 balls in 3 axis were measured. The differences among sex、age、side、tooth missing groups were analyzed using ANOVA and chi-square test.
Result:
The average of 3mm Si3N4 balls'' diameter measurements in 3 axis are statistically significantly different from true length. The length and width of maxillary sinus(baseline: above alveolar ridge 25mm) are 36.23±4.18mm、24.36±4.15mm;The maxillary distal free-end bone height average is 6.48±3.31mm. The prevalence of maxillary sinus septum is up to 66.98%(71/106) and average numbers is 2.81±2.25.
Conclusion:
Although the differences between average of 3mm Si3N4 balls'' diameter measurements and gold standard 3mm were statistically, it suggests that clinicians could take dental CT image as a reliable information in performing implant pre-surgical assessment. The prevalence of maxillary sinus septum is up to 66.98%(71/106), and there is a trend that septum numbers in front side of maxillary sinus are higher. Clinicians should evaluate the phenomenon carefully when performing osteotomy.
