Method: The study of this cross-sectional, by convenience sampling. Patients with clinical diagnosis of schizophrenia were recruited in chronic ward, halfway houses and outreach programs in a specialty mental hospital in South Taiwan to form three patient groups. Totally 187 patients were enrolled as our study sample. World Health Organization Quality of Life- abbreviated version (WHOQOL-BREF) were used to measure subjective QOL and Positive and Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale(BPRS)was used to measure the severity of psychiatric syndrome. Analyses of descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and regression analysis were utilized to test the research hypotheses. Results: The research findings were indicated as follow:In WHOQOL psychological domain, There were not any significant differences in the results of quality of life, physical domain and social domain Rehabilitation Therapy group being the highest (i.e. having the best QOL in that domain), environment domain Outreach Programs group being the highest.
