Summary:碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 社會福利學系碩士班 === 99 === The aim of this research is to discuss the correlation between ethical practice and other related factors for training & caring staff and life servicemen who work in institutions for people with disabilities in Taoyuan,Hsinchu and Miaoli area. This research surveys staff who works directly with people with disabilities. This research tries to find out of there is a link between ethical practice on one side and self determination, the staff’s attitude towards confidentiality on the other side. There were 28 institutions willing to be surveyed. 502 questionnaires were sent, 452were returned (90% response rates). 22 were invalid, 430 valid (96% validity). The conclusions from the statistical analysis are the following: 1. The staff’s characters are not significantly related to their ethical practice during work. 2. The staff’s professional qualities are partially related to their ethical practice during work. 3. The characteristics of the intuitions are partially related to staff’s ethical practice during work. The result of this research can provide recommendations for training & caring staff and life servicemen, institutions, and future researchers. This research can also be a reference for administration and follow-up studies.
