Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔英科技大學 === 環境工程與科學系碩士班 === 99 === In this study, outside curing of blast oxygen furnace converter slag (BOF Slag) was performed to investigate the effect of curing process on the environmental compatibility for BOF slag. The BOF slag was palced upon soil and outdoor, then deionized water was added to simulate the rainfall during curing. The curing processes had been conducted for 1 month, and then the cured BOF slag sample was taken for further leaching experiments. A variety of leaching procedures, including toxicity characteristic leaching (TCLP), U.S. SW-846 Method 1320 (MTCLP), the environment of the dissolution/extraction test method CEN 14429 pH dependent test, CEN TS 14405 percolation test, had been performed for cured BOF slag. No significant leaching of heavy metal from the cured BOF slag was found in all the leaching tests. According to the Building Material Decree (BMD, the Netherland), the cured BOF slag can pass category I material standard. The results show a good environmental compatibility of the cured BOF slag. Also, simulation results from the LeachXS-Orchestra expert system, only a very slight heavy metal would release from the cured BOF slag for 100 years, and and the release amount of heavy metal would not cause soil contaminant. The results may conclude that the cured BOF slag has a good long-term environmental compatibility and can meet the BMD category I material standard.
