The chief object of the research is the Taiwanese excellent athlete of the long jump, Jing-xuan Lin. The variation of kinematics parameters includes velocity of body’s center of gravity (CG), height of CG and angles of different joints. Comparing with the related records and studies, the thesis will give an analysis and provide a better improving way and training references for both athletes and instructors to find Long jump action mode During the previous week of National Inter Colle Giate Athletic Games, two high-speed cameras (60 HZ) are used to synchronously shoot the practicing action procedure: the last three steps of approaching, taking off, and skipping. Then, the collected image data will be digitized through Kwon 3D and Silicon Coach action analysis systems in order to get the kinematics parameters of bodies’ moving variation, speed, angles. By the result, we could get the following conclusions: 1. His horizontal velocity of the CG on the step board is still behind those of Chinese and foreign excellent athletes. And the range between the horizontal velocities on the step board of each trial jump is very high, which means stability of the approach rhythm fluctuates greatly. 2. The soar-up vertical velocity and the soar-up angle are similar to those of Chinese elite athletes. But there is a grades gap due to that the approach velocity is too low. 3. Compare with China’s and foreign excellent athletes, variation of the height of CG during the approach take off process is not high. Therefore his approach action is still steady. But his height of CG in the take off stage is lower, which affects his vertical momentum. 4. Angle of the knee joint is small while stepping on the board. There is no enough stretch of the knee joint. These indicate strength of the knee joint still needs to be improved. And angle of the hip joint is slightly smaller in the flash of leaving the board, relatively, more muscle strength is needed to hold the body and cause the vertical velocity. As a result, additional burden is added. 5. Variation value among the spent take off time is bigger, controlling for stepping take off is unsteady, and the take off procedure is short. These cause decreased momentum in the vertical direction and shortened flight time and affect the long jump distance. Keywords: approach, take off, horizontal velocity.
