Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 圖書資訊學系 === 99 === This study aims to understand the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), IFLA was establishlied in 1927, IFLA makes an effort to definition of bibliographic control and moves on the background, activities, contributions and impact of IFLA, and demonstrates the influence and development that the bibliography controls in Taiwan This study used the Document Analysis and Historical Research, the result is as follows: 1.The aims of IFLA universal bibliographic control is to exchange and use of bibliographic records. 2.IFLA’s bibliographic control organization is divided into four development periods:(1)Universal Bibliographic Control; (2)Universal Bibliographic Control and International MARC Programme; (3)IFLA-CDNL Alliance for Bibliographic Standards; (4)IFLA-CDNL Alliance for Digital Strategies. 3.IFLA to promote the international bibliographic control of the main activities include:(1) To make and promote the bibliographic standard; (2)To build the national bibliography;(3) To publish the IFLA’s Publications. 4.The main contribution of IFLA that is (1) To promote the Core Activities; (2) To make the bibliographic standard for all countries; (3) To build national bibliography. 5.IFLA to promote the universal bibliography controls in Taiwan: (1) To make the bibliographic standard; (2) To build the national bibliography and National Bibliographic Information Network; (3)To implement the Cataloging in Publication Based on the final results of this study, several suggestions are as follows: (1)To enhance bibliographic control, and collect of various types of publications; (2)To enhance bibliographic resources in Taiwan and China, and establish the foundation for Chinese bibliographic databases; (3)To enhance and participate in international Bibliography librarianship; (4)To revise and maintain the bibliographic standard.
