Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 景觀設計學系碩士班 === 100 === The function of a fence or wall is used to identify a school’s boundary. However, a tall wall creates blind spots in campus and does nothing good to a school’s image and eco-environment. Therefore, a school should use a low fence or even without fence, and use planting material to create a friendly interface for necessary buffering. Design of this friendly interface can involve ideas and imagination from both teachers and students. The idea of friendly interface promotes open and free atmosphere of a school, and increases interaction between the school and its surrounding community. It can be also connected with the community walking paths to a school and the city greenway to show the uniqueness of local environmental ecology. In this report we present, by studying existing cases, how involvement design can be applied to designing a school’s friendly interface, its procedures and the final outcomes. We recommend that there should be friendlier interface in the future to help the construction of city’s open space greenways.
