Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 音樂研究所 === 99 === Abstract Musicians, among Nordic countries in the Scandinavia region, only Grieg in Norway and Sibelius in Finland were wildly regarded as the most important composers. Sibelius not only excels in magnificent large-scale orchestral music, but also renowned by these master pieces. Sibelius is one of the most excellent symphony composers except Beethoven and Brahms. Apart from symphonies, Sibelius created glorious pieces of orchestral music about Finland’s history. Finlandia, the final movement from an independent symphonic poem, Sibelius wrote for the patriotic historic drama in 1899, became one of the his representative works known by the world. This study focuses on the command interpretation about Finlandia. My research purposed to interpret evidently Finlandia by music analysis, including Sibelius life dialysis, Finlandia content and creating background. In the conclusion, the presentation of study processes and experiences establishes advance basement for individual concerned studies in the future.
