It represents our pursuance and thirst for virtues deep down in our heart. “The Odes of States”, the earliest collection of love poems, which is a portion of the earliest Chinese poem collection “Shi-Jing,” known as one of “Five Books”, gives a view of the depth of love by presenting vary nuances of love such as the relationship of man and woman in love; the lovesickness that engraved in lovers’ bones and hearts; the joyful encounter and the sorrowful parting and many others. “The Song of Songs” has its place at the centre of the “Holy Bible” in which by affectionately describing human love, shows the deep love that God has for humankind and the unfailing love that Christ has for the Church. This essay explores and discusses “love” in human nature with different materials and aspects. The author believes that “love,” either human love between lovers or love between God and man, which rooted in human nature, is an ever unchanging motivation regardless of time, places and races. Moreover “love”, which is an unfailing and unchanging source of motivation that drives human upwards and forwards, comes from God the Creator. Fang, Mark 房志榮 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 124 zh-TW
