碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 大眾傳播學研究所 === 99 === In this study, the author use sociological theory approach of radical modernity by Anthony Giddens to discuss the political communication phenomenon of social networking sites as a channel by the KMT and the DPP political parties in Taiwan. Text analysis, a research method, is used to explore the radical modernity characteristics of interactivity texts on the KMT and the DPP’s Facebook and Plurk websites. The study did not investigate the political ideology and effects. By examining the objects’ characteristics of radical modernity the political identity and subjectivism of reflexivity is demonstrated. The results of this study are including of 3 kinds of texts displayed radical modernity characteristics. There are arguments about policies, specific political identity gathered, and quarrelling opinions with each ideologies. These texts show the reflexivity of dialogical democracy of Giddens’s versions, but also appearing the uncertainty about users and sources of information.
