Seven hundred copies of the “12th Graders’ Perceived-values and Leisure Constraints of Recreational Activities” were sent to the 12th graders in senior high schools and vocational high schools in Changhua County, and 664 valid copies were retrieved (valid retrieval rate is 94.9%), and the following findings were yielded after a statistical analysis: 1. The highest perceived-value of 12th graders’ recreations is the social need; of the aspects of leisure constraints, the highest was the academic constraint. 2. There are significant differences in the “self-expression” and “social needs” aspects of perceived-values between 12th graders of different gender, and males were significantly higher than females in this regard; however, there is no significant different in the “health promotion” aspect. There is a significant difference in the “self-expression” aspect of perceived-values between 12th graders who are given different amounts of weekly allowances; however, there is no significant difference in “social needs” and “health promotion.” 3. There are significant differences in “environmental constraint” and “academic constraint” between 12th graders of different gender, and females are higher than males in this regard; however, there is no significant difference in “support constraint” and “cognition constraint.” There are no significant differences in the four aspects of leisure constraints between 12th graders who are given different amounts of weekly allowances. 4. There is a negative correlation between the perceived-values and leisure constraints among 12th graders, but the correlation is not significant.
