Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 管理學院碩士在職專班 === 99 === Based on the declination of birth growth which results in the polarization in the current educational situation, “idolism” and “marginalization”, a research is aimed at parents’ choices are influenced on the image of public primary and secondary schools and learning environmental as well as other related factors to discover the references for school management strategies and development.
Through indirect documents evidences, the research finds out that variables are connected to each other. Thus, referencing to relative studies, the research creates an investigative questionnaire, “the image of public primary and secondary schools and learning environmental factors in Taiwan impact on parents’ educational choices”, as analysis tool. There are 720 copies mailed to 11 public secondary schools and 25 pub-lic primary schools; the parents and faculty of public primary and secondary schools are the clients to analyze their viewpoints. The whole returned questionnaires are 634. But except for invalid and unfinished ones, the rest and valid ones are a total of 591, and the returned rate is 82.08%.
The findings are that “moral character and behavior” and “the professional of teacher” are the most important factors impact on parents’ choices. According to sta-tistics, the obvious differences fall on “region”, “scale” and “history” of the schools; however, “schooling phases”, “genders”, “ages”, and “academic backgrounds” says the contrary.
To raise the intention of parents from selecting schools for children, the result of the research suggest that to win over parents’ approvals, managing school, promoting administration effectiveness, strengthening teacher’s teaching ability as well as build-ing up a friendly learning environment are essential action to make.
