This paper aims to explore the effect of welfare system of schools on job engagements. The findings of the study have some implications for ideal leadership directions. Subjects participating in this study were private school teachers in central Taiwan. The research method used was a questionnaire survey via purposive sampling. Data was analyzed by calculating the responses to the questionnaires. The analysis of reliability and validity and descriptive statistical analysis were adopted in the research. The LISREL program was used to analyze and to explore the correlations among leadership styles, welfare system awareness, and job engagement. The results showed that teachers’ education background was not significantly correlated with leadership styles, welfare system awareness, and job engagement while age, gender, years of service and positions of the participants had significant relationships with the three dimensions of the research. The findings verified from the LISREL indicated that there was a positive relationship between leadership styles and welfare system awareness, and welfare system awareness was positively correlated with job engagement. The findings of this study have the following implication for educators in Taiwan: the more teachers are aware of the leadership styles of administrators, the more job engagement teachers are willing to strengthen through the welfare system awareness.
