In school the "Environmental education" is the basic method to improve and solve the environmental problems. For improving and assisting the "Environmental education", it is the key point that construct campus ecology pond and make perpetual operation.
This study applied AHP theory and conducted questionnaires survey to those environment-related experts, compulsory education advisory group, school staffs, elementary school teachers and other experts. For promoting the perpetual operation of campus ecological pond of Nantou Elementary School, we want to find a general view of the weight of criteria. That serves as a reference for the education authorities, schools administrators and teachers.
The results of this study are as follows:
Regarding the hierarchy of the sub-objectives, on the whole, the most mportant criteria are in the order as follows: "instruction and curriculum", "facilities and resources", "maintenance management", "education training", "policy propaganda".
In 20 decision-making criteria, the top five criteria of the weight are order as follows :"Implementing the instructional plan of campus environmental and ecological education for all grades and taking the instructional plan as the school-based curriculum." ,"Improving the perfect instructional space and moving line of the campus ecological pond education." ,"Making the introduction signs of the campus environmental and ecological education." ,"Recording and observing the changes of the migration, growth and decline of the campus aquatic organisms." ," Utilizing the multimedia teaching materials for the instruction of the campus ecological pond."
The recommendations of this study are as follows:
Education authorities: Schools and teachers apply the construction method of campus ecological pond, and according to the introduction of local biological characteristics of the school environment, rich in biological species on campus.
Schools administrators: run a variety of species can provide habitat for Covert and the environment, encourage students to experience and record real environment and changes the balance between the situation for students to learn and grow in experience.
Teachers To make campus ecological pond instruction a featured curriculum by school-based curriculum planning of the campus ecological pond.
