碩士 === 中原大學 === 應用數學研究所 === 99 === The purpose of this thesis is to study the characteristic functions of finite noncooperative n-person games and the cooperative n-person games in characteristic function form in a rigours discussion. The well-definedness of the characteristic function of a given finite noncooperative n-person game is proved and is explained by an auxiliary example. The strategic equivalence of the finite noncooperative n-person games and the finite cooperative n-person games in characteristic function form is discussed briefly.
