Summary: | 碩士 === 中原大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 99 === This research paper is focus on Lithium-ion battery packs’ mechanical design and assembly by using latch and hook ideas. Recently battery pack assembled using latch and hook as up today technologies to replaced old traditional chemical binder and other assembly method.
For the design concept was set on review existing products and calculated data, more over with several years of my participle design &; assembly experiences. In this research paper I had take in to account with plastic tooling design and plastic injection know how to define pack latch and hook designation. Looking through by latch and hook related location and engineering plastic materials conclude a best formula for design index.
The analysis was follow and used Taguchi method to done experiments. The main variants to affect pack toughness were latch shape and materials. More over to causes latches strength and stability was the plastic resin toughness. In current industrial mass production, commonly used engineering plastics were Polycarbonate (PC) and others. This material had strong toughness characteristics. If we can control those factors, the latch and hook technology can be more easily optimize its performance. Thus engineers can design packs latch to gain the most efficiency on free fall protections. This experiment were research thought variances design factors and set up individual partial optimize data and applied Taguchi method to gain best sub solution data and prefer drive test. Final used the best individual drive test result to conclude a sequence for the best final solution. The experiments were select by first type of hook and latch, fallow by resin type LG GN1008RF. Detail spec. were hook and latch holding space 0.6mm, space between other hook and latch 12mm, latch width 6mm, plastic thickness 0.7mm to be the best matrix solution. From this research it helps battery pack mechanical design engineers experience real issues and can focus which factor for improvement solutions, thus reduced the cost and time on new projects results to prompt companies’ margin and business competition.
