To provide a better quality in communications systems for avoiding any break off, the change of the phase characteristics of linear array antennae will be studied in this thesis. The impact on the phase error on the characteristics of linear array antennae lies in its phase, offset angle, the main lobe, and the sidelobe. The Computer-aided antenna design software (Personal Computer Aided Antenna Design, PCAAD) will be used to simulate to calculate the phase values for the synthesis of antenna patterns. That is, the synthesis of linear array antenna beam generated by the phase change of the field strength, or gain, will be examinated, including the lobe amplitude, offset antenna main beam angle of the antenna characteristics, and their relationship. Simulation results give a proper adjustment for communications systems in facilitating the actual performance evaluation, reducing system development costs, improving communication quality, and eliminating of the multi-path effect.
