碩士 === 中原大學 === 教育研究所 === 99 === Abstract The main purposes of this study were to examine the different emotional intelligence and well-being of senior and vocational high school teachers in Taoyuan County among diverse backgrounds, and to identify the relationship of teachers’ emotional intelligence and well-being. This study employed “Questionnaire of Teacher’s Emotional Intelligence” and “Questionnaire of Teacher’s Well-Being” for data collection. As a result of stratified random sampling by administrative division, there were 490 valid samples for this study. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, T Test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson porduct-moment correlation, canonical correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis.The conclusions of the study were as follows: 1. The current situation of senior and vocational high school teachers’ emotional intelligence in Taoyan County was above average, the highest dimension is ”emotion adjustment ”；the lowest one is “emotion recognition.” 2. The current situation of senior and vocational high school teachers’ well-being in Taoyan County was above average, the highest dimension is ”relationship ”；the lowest one is “health.” 3. Age indeed caused a significant difference in the level of emotional intelligence but had no significant difference in the overall emotional intelligence. 4. Gender plays a significant role in the level and overall well-being. Age, seniority and type of school had a significant difference in the level of well-being. 5. There were significantly positive correlations between teachers’ emotional intelligence and well-being, especially the dimention ”emotion ajustment ” and “relationship”. 6. Teachers’ emotional intelligence can significantly forecast the teachers’ overall well-being, especially the dimention ”emotion adjustment ” According to the results and conclusions of this study, some suggestions were offered as references for the members in the educational correlated organizations and studies in the future.
