Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 99 === Supercritical carbon dioxide modified with ethanol was used to extract phenolic constituents of Jatropha curcas seeds. Response surface methodology was used to optimize the experimental conditions. Statistical models developed were further improved to best predict the response, the interaction between parameters, and their effect to the yield. It was found that the effect of each parameter on the response became more pronounced when set at or near the optimum condition. The static extraction time, temperature and pressure have negative effect on the yield, while the amount of modifier brought a positive effect on the yield. Interaction between parameters was also observed except that of temperature and amount of modifier. The best operating condition obtained using the model developed is 51.29 minutes static extraction time, 40oC, 20MPa and 50 wt% modifier. The predicted response values from the model are in good agreement with the experimental results, suggesting that the models have good fit on the data and are therefore, sufficient for results prediction.
