Since, it is a time as well as labor consuming job, there is less and less young people willing to take this job, such that most of the high precision scrapping process is carried out by elder skill technicians. The purpose of this study is trying to develop an automatic scrapping mechanism. After analyzing the motion of the scrapper in scrapping process carried by skill technicians and surveying the existing papers and patents, a conceptual design of an automatic scrapping mechanism is carried out. In order to minimize the cost, only two stepping motors are implemented. The rolling motion of the scrapper is carried by using two guiding plates. The motion control is achieved by using Lab View control unit. The cost of this “Guiding Plate Type Scrapping Mechanism” developed in this study is less than NT$80,000. The scrapping mechanism developed in this study can successfully scrap different scrapping patterns such as square, triangle, half-moon, and chidori pattern. It is believed that “the Guiding Plate Type Scrapping Mechanism” developed in this study may help the machine tool industries to save human labor, cut down the cost, and improve the quality in the scrapping processes. 蔡穎堅 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 71 zh-TW
