The technology of ecological construction also has been improved a lot. Moreover, the project of general community reconstruction has raised the whole quality of the community to ecological community. However, most of the projects in Taiwan used isolated or block planning to preserve the ecological resources in the communities. Rarely have the project to familiarize itself into the environment of the ecology not to mention the projects related to ecological design. Based on the point mentioned above, the purpose of this study is to help the ecological community have the design guidelines and to be one of the reference of the development in the territory of ecological community in Taiwan. The purpose of this study was to combine the ecological community and the ecotourism as the trend. Ecological community is not only the place where have the ecological environment but also the foundation to develop the ecotourism. Therefore, ecological community has become the main target which researchers made effort in this century. In addition, the value of ecological community development is not only focused on the preservation and reconstruction in ecological environment but also on the attitude of sustainability. Subject ecological community which possesses naturally community in this study was Zuoying District Chouchani Community in Kaohsiung city. By reviewing the literature, and sample community, the researcher could improve the study. The researcher also used fieldtrip observation and discussion to develop the related gap which didn’t mention in this research. The research could be used in further studies and be expected to become the reference of the development in ecological community design.
