The purpose of the survey of nutrition or medicine or two of combine for these patients’ fasting blood glucose effect. We recruited psychiatric center department of health R.O.C. one hundred thirteen patients to divide into four parts control teams (n=73), nutrition team (n=10), drug team (n=4), combine team (n=26). In the 0 week and twenty-four weeks recorded patients’ fasting blood glucose to analysis. All the patients who live in the hospital average 5.94 years. Will explored either diet or medicine or both to control fasting glucose and improvement of patients’ fasting glucose.
By biochemistry examination value experiment. We found that giving diabetes meal and diabetes diet combine oral hypoglycemic agents are worthy decrease fasting glucose. Moreover giving medicine and nutrition diet can make HbA1c tend to the average, when we suggest that diet should be take into consideration. If patients can improve blood glucose by dietary, they can avoid the inconvenient of taking medicine to raise patients’ the quality of life.
