Description
Summary:碩士 === 長榮大學 === 高階管理碩士在職專班 === 99 === Entrepreneurship is an emerging field of research. As a result of entrepreneurship having characteristics of interdisciplinary field and multidimensional construct, many scholars articulate entrepreneurship research by their own aspects which lead to lack of paradigmatic theoretical framework and distinct boundaries. This paper uses a Kohonen self-organizing map as a visualization tool applied to entrepreneurship literature to assess about 831 keywords for 180 literatures listed in the Science Citation Index Expanded, the Social Sciences Citation Index of Web of Science database. We obtain a map which place literatures with similar content very close together and literatures with very different content far apart. This summary of findings is divided into eight clusters and can be defined as research in international entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship and opportunity, entrepreneurship and networks, opportunity-exploitation and networks, opportunity-recognition and uncertainty, gender and innovation, entrepreneurship and innovation, opportunity-recognition and networks. This paper offers a method to consider how literatures relate to each other and which literatures are most and least likely to offer a fit with different type of research in the entrepreneurship field for new researchers.
