Steer (1994) thought that the main sources of work stress were from the impact of the organization itself and the impact of individual personality traits. In this dissertation, staffs of Chung Hua University are the research subjects. The purposes of this research are to find the factors of affecting organizational climate and work stress, to study whether the gender, age, identity, and other variables have significant effect on organizational climate and work stress and to explore the relationship between organizational climate and work stress. This dissertation applied the factor analysis on the data collected from questionnaires. After the data analysis, the following results were obtained. The 5 factors that affect the organizational climate are “warmth”, “responsibility”, “support and reward”, “structure”, and “conflict”. The 3 factors that affect the work stress are “personal response”, “the interaction with parents and students”, and “competent leadership style”. Personal attributes are associated with both organizational climate and work stress. Part-time or full-time status has significant effect on “structure”. Children status has significant effect on “structure”. Education level has significant effect on “warmth”, “responsibility”, and “support and reward” 3 factors. Years of work has significant effect on “warmth”. Sex, identity, marital status and children status have significant effect on “personal response” and “the interaction with parents and students”. Age has significant effect on “personal response”, “the interaction with parents and students”, and “competent leadership style”. Part-time or full-time status has significant effect on “competent leadership style”. Years of work has significant effect on “personal response”, and “competent leadership style”. Work unit has significant effect on “the interaction with parents and students”. Daily using time has significant effect on all factors except “privacy features” and “general features”. Finally, the organizational climate has negative direct effect on the work stress by structure equation modeling analysis. Chi Lo 羅琪 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 144 zh-TW
