An Analysis of the Important Factors for Junior High School Teachers’ Selection of Domestic Tours

碩士 === 中華大學 === 應用統計學系碩士班 === 99 === Abstract In Taiwan, where tourism is one of the current trends, junior high school teachers gradually become the important population in the tourism market with the raise of their economic status. The research is to study, for junior high school teachers, what their purposes, the conditional factors of traveling sites and the discrepancy analysis of individual objective factors are when they select domestic tourism. By doing this, the research is expected to clarify the important factors which junior high school teachers select domestic tourism. The research adopts the investigation of questionnaires as its methodology. By way of collecting data, the investigation into the junior high school teachers in Taichung City is carried out 198 valid questionnaires. The research adopts statement statistics, t-examination, factor analysis, Cronbach’sαcoefficient reliability analysis, variance analysis and Duncan’s post- event multiple examination to analyze the statistics. The result of the research shows that among the important factors which junior high school teachers select domestic tourism, the factor enjoyment and pressure relieving obtains the most identification in the subjective factors of selecting domestic tourism; the factor the whole-family leisure pace obtains the most identification in the exterior conditions of selecting domestic tourism; the factor vacation consideration obtains the most identification in the objective factors of selecting domestic tourism. Also, the result of the research shows that among the different background varieties, the important factors that junior high school teachers select domestic tourism appears noticeable difference with the variation of their current positions, years of experience in teaching, their ages, their status of married life and their average monthly income; but it shows no noticeable difference with the divergence of their gender and the main subjects they instruct. In the variable of different tourist participation, the important factors that junior high school teachers select domestic tourism appear noticeable variation due to the different frequency of their domestic tourism within the latest three years; however, it shows no noticeable variation with the divergence of variable of the average days of traveling, the usual companions and the average cost for each tourism.
