First of all, factor analysis was used to seek 7 main factors of how teachers’ perspectives will be affected by television news. It was followed up by a comparison analysis between Principal Component Analysis and different backgrounds of interviewees as well as various situations that interviewees watch television News. The method of research in this study was by questionnaire, focusing on the groups of elementary school teachers in Taichung City, Kaohsiung City and Pingtung County. After having collected the data, the strategies of data analysis included descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, T-Test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s method and Post hoc comparisons of Scheffe’s method. Then, some conclusions of the findings are as follows: The seven factors affecting elementary school teachers’ perspectives on television news are the factor of objectivity, the factor reflected by watching the sensational television news, the factor caused by bias, that of how important the news is to interviewees, that of media expectations, that of timeliness and that of journalistic ethics. According to the findings, perception of television news was effected by gender, age, teacher seniority, average monthly income, watching television News channels, watching television news on different days during a week and the duration television news was watched.
