The fluorescent effect comes from the displayed color outside object color gamut. The fluorescent effect increases with the color gamut size of wide-color-gamut display. The ratio of display gamut outside of object color gamut and object color gamut is defined and is called the outside object color gamut ratio. The fluorescent effect decreases with the outside gamut ratio. The color coordinates of display primaries that its color gamut size is the maximum for a given outside gamut ratio are shown. The color gamut size of designed display with only 0.1% outside gamut ratio is larger than that of HDTV.
