Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 電機工程學系(所) === 99 === Long distance fiber optic communication usually uses LD of the 1310 nm as high power light source. Common semiconductor laser emitted light cone of ellipse shape, has 18o ~40o divergence angle, a ball lens or aspheric lens is needed to re-focus light beam into fiber. First TO-can devices should be assembled to TOSA by alignment. Then fiber plug in to TOSA connector to get the maximum coupling power without alignment. This thesis studies how to improve the alignment accuracy between LD and ball lens, in order to improve the coupling efficiency of a TOSA device. We use the optical simulation software ZEMAX analysis result to make maps which ball lens miss align LD relating with fiber coupling efficiency. We introduce the quality control skill, (1) SPC (statistical process control),and (2) GRR(gauge repeatability and reproducibility) to analyze the measurement results.
