Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 工業管理學系碩士班 === 99 === Slip and fall in work accidents caused by floor cover liquids are very common. They are not only easily occurring in workplace but also around our life. There are many factors affecting the occurrence of slip and fall and they are complicated. Many studies of slips and falls were conducted on the floors cover by liquids. Studies on the effects of solid particles on slip resistance are rare. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the floor roughness, shoe sole and surface condition on the coefficient of friction at footwear and floor interface. In addition, a regression model was established to describe the relationship between the friction coefficient and floor roughness, shoe sole and surface condition. The results of the study showed the effects of all the main factors and their interactions were significant (p<0.001). It was found that the coefficient of friction decreased as the weight of the particles began to decline on the floor when the particle size was 200 μm or less. A regression model was established. The model was significant at p<0.001, with an R2 of 0.97. This model may be used to predict the friction coefficient under similar experimental conditions in the current study.
