However, current measures still cannot prevent this kind of disaster. Hence, in order to enhance the prevention of this kind of disaster, we started from the aspects of behavior intention, attitude, standard and behavior control perception to discuss whether safety risk perception, reward incentive, policy promotion, community participation and educational training are useful for preventing carbon monoxide poisoning event. Therefore, the aim of this research is to establish a behavior model to find the key factor that can be used as a practical suggestion in activities where the fire department promotes the prevention of carbon monoxide poisoning. Through regression analysis, the research hypothesis established by the research model was tested to analyze how the factors such as “attitude,” “subjective standard” and “behavior control” together affect “behavior intention;” analyze how the factors such as “safety risk” and “reward incentive” together affect “attitude;” analyze how factors such as “policy promotion” and “community participation” together affect “subjective standard;” and analyze how “educational training” affect “behavior control.” It is proved that the results are all significant with the only exception being “reward incentive” did not affect “attitude.” When the fire department promotes prevention activities, policy promotion and community participation can be used to improve people’s recognition for the carbon monoxide poisoning prevention standard. Carbon monoxide poisoning event can then be prevented better. Moreover, educational training can also be used to improve people’s self-prevention ability. An interesting result found in this research is that reward incentive did not improve people’s attitude for carbon monoxide poisoning prevention. It means reward incentive is only temporary. For people to carry out excellent prevention measure, the most important factors are self-safety risk recognition, self-educational training and community participation.
