The professionals in different domains play different assessment roles in the ICF. It is important for professionals to cooperate when assess for early intervention. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of assessment in the early intervention teamwork under the framework of international classification of functioning, disability, and health. Methods: This research were conducted with Delphi technique. Fourteen professionals participated the research including doctors, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, special education teachers, and social workers. Data were colltected and analyzed after 3-round surveys. Results: Each professionals has his assessment job for early intervention in the ICF. The results were proposed in four components: Body Functions, Body Structures, Activities and Participation and Environmental Factors. Discussion: This study found that the appropriate role of assessment in early intervention under the ICF. It identified a list of intervention categories relevant for the early intervention professionals according to the ICF. The ICF, designed as a common language for multi-disciplinary, is a very helpful framework for defining the competence for the early intervention professionals.
