But facial beauty is difficult to quantify by any mathematic formula. Averageness theory about facial beauty pointed out that the more original images were used to create the composite, the more attractive it became. However no matter what race, age, gender was, there should have some common principles in assessing facial beauty which could be learned by computer image processing. Other than 2D image analysis, 3D image scan will be incorporated to elicit the facial beauty. In this research protocol, 100 young female 2D photos will be collected. 48 referee will judge and place photos in sequence from most beauty to least beauty. These 100 photos will be 2 groups (1~10, 90~100), and analysis by curvature、moire contour line analysis、shape complexity、 and convert 2d to 3d image, these analysis methods to find out the difference between the two groups Finally, in the thesis, we introduce the height changed rate per unit distance(height/ distance), the height changed rate per unit height(h/ H), the area changed rate per unit distance(area/ distance) and the area changed rate per unit height(area/ height) these four factors to quantify the datum further.
