Description
Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 企業管理研究所亞太營運管理組 === 99 === With industrial development, carbon dioxide, which is caused by the use of fossil fuels, has brought about serious greenhouse effect threatening the survival of the human environment. Chemical absorption method could be used to absorb the emissions of carbon dioxide from power plants, which could then be separated and made into pure carbon dioxide. Such carbon dioxide can be used to synthesize methanol, and be converted into a variety of petrochemical raw materials. This method not only can directly reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide, but also solve the problem of shortage of petrochemical raw materials. Some medium-sized pilot plants have been doing methanol synthesis from carbon dioxide. It may develop as a commercial process in the future. The cost-benefit analysis has been used to estimate the investment cost, operating cost and the profit from product to evaluate investment benefit on this study. The results of cost-benefit analysis show synthesis of methanol from carbon dioxide has great business value. Methanol economy may become an important way to solve the petrochemical raw material shortage problem in the future.
