Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 台灣文學研究所 === 99 ===   Immigration villages are the creation of Japanese colonization in Taiwan. The villages are with self-contained lifestyle and colonization ideology. This features are worth to be concerned and to be realized. The research samples of this study are the immigration villages in Taiwan. Firstly the researcher focuses on the history, the settlement and the surround buildings of the immigration villages. The researcher found Japanese immigration villages experiences and deeply realized how Japanese built immigration villages in Taiwan. According to the discussion of topography representation, the researcher found the inhabitants’ opinion about the villages. Lastly, the researcher took Shi Shuqing’s fiction, Dust in the Wind as a sample; tried to figure out how do colonists face the complex history. The purpose of this study is to discuss the construction and reconstruction of the villages. Out of different styles and backgrounds, they became multicultural. The villages reveal old-fashioned features for the descendants who can cherish the memory of the villages .
