碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 教育學研究所 === 99 === An Action Research of Promoting Marine Education: An Example of An Elementary School Abstract This action research examined the promotion of marine education in an elementary school. Through analyzing school situation, shaping vision, promoting teachers’ learning community, curriculum planning and curriculum implementation, also through reflecting and discussing in actual situations, the study help the researcher’s school to solve their actual educational problems. For research purposes, the study collected data by observations, interviews, questionnaire surveys and document analysis, then the data was analyzed and concluded by Triangulation. The following conclusions were delineated from the results of the study: 1. Using SWOT analysis will facilitate the promotion of marine education. 2. Schools’ marine education curriculum goal and strategies will transform by shaping vision. 3. Promoting marine education will refine and improve teachers’ professional growth. 4. Marine education will develop school-base curriculum by blending in learning areas. 5. Teacher’s attitude and qualification are critical to the effectiveness of marine education. 6. The implementation of marine education must be supported by research and supporting measures in order to be feasible. Key Words: marine education, action research, action research of marine education
