Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 戰略暨國際事務研究所 === 99 === The contemporary discipline of international relations is mainly characterized by mainstream theories of the west. Especially, from the viewpoint of realisim, rising powers in the system are expected to challenge the incumbent hegemon and hence try to build a new order. It is the same scenario to the rising China. Based on the introducing and copying the Western realism theories, Chinese IR scholars manage to explore the” re-rise” of China. This study aims at analyzing the discourses of Chinese IR scholarship in realism. It further compare the main arguments of realism and the Chinese studies of it to find out whether Western realism will be innovated through Chinese imitation and transformation. Finally, by gathering chineses scholars’ realism studies, it offers a prospect of further development of Chinese IR studies, including the rise of “Chinese school”.
